When Lisa first contacted me to be a part of her wedding, I felt an instant connection with her. "I want it to be beautiful and elegant but relaxed" _ she said.
As soon as she told me that her venue was God's Mountain, I knew that it was going to be an effortlessly stunning wedding. Rapidly, my dearest friend Tanisha of Society Floral and I, started to dream about that magical, Italian inspired summer day.
The day started with Lisa getting ready in the gorgeous bridal suite at God's Mountain.
Meanwhile, Rob and his guys were getting ready in another room at the venue. They enjoyed drinks and played board games!
And then it came the FIRST LOOK! Gaaah... one of the best moments at a wedding in my opinion.
Lisa and Rob said their "I do's" under a gorgeous tree, surrounded by all their loved ones and overlooking the beautiful Okanagan lake.
When planning and designing an event, I try to stick to the essence of the venue as much as possible. For example, if it is a ballroom, I dont like to bring in garden style elements, and vice versa. I like to keep things as simple, elegant and cohesive as possible. God's Mountain is all about that bohemian, Italy inspired look, and so that's what Tanisha and I went along with for the florals and overall decor.
Lisa wore the most stunning three piece dress, and a gorgeous quartz hair piece by Crowns and Wreaths. For her bridesmaids, she opted for an all white mismatched look. Ugh! Is there anything better than white bridesmaid dresses? I don't think so!
From happy tears and beautiful speeches, to a vintage Boler mobile bar, and awesome dancing; the happy couple celebrated all night surrounded by their friends and family.
Dearest Lisa and Rob, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for letting me be a part of your special day. I will keep your wedding very close to my heart!
