I love doing editorials, I find them so fun and inspiring! They play a very important part of my business and brand, and it’s a time when I get to have full creative control over design, creating that which I most identify with.

We belong to a creatively saturated industry where every day new ideas are popping up. It can be hard to come up with your own concepts and even harder not to look for inspiration in other’s work. With that in mind I always do my best to create fresh content, and I aim to do things a bit differently in order to stay authentic.

To be honest, I would do a shoot every week if I could but unfortunately that is not always possible. (Can you tell I am anxious for wedding season to start?) Today, I am very excited to share with you my latest editorial work, featured yesterday on Style Me Pretty. Hope you love it!

With spring and women’s day happening in the same month, I felt very inspired to combine both to create this beautiful editorial. I’ve always had a thing for feminine colours such as pinks and purples and when you throw the word “elegant” into the mix, you get one of the most perfect combinations!

Society Florals gorgeous centerpiece and bouquet brought together the vision by choosing the perfect colors and flower varieties

Plume Calligraphy handcrafted the most stunning paper goods on beautiful paper and with the most gorgeous illustrations.

Ruth and Dean made a simple yet beautiful cake that was embellished with handmade ribbon by Carousel and fresh blackberries.

Conscious hair and Heartwood & Co. created the most romantic and timeless look for our gorgeous model, allowing her natural beauty to shine.

The Lenora dress provided by The White Peony was everything we could dream of for our model. PS. That is my wedding veil and I love it so much, I am happy we were able to use it for this shoot!

Vasia was an incredible woman to work with. Not only do I love her work but she is so passionate and talented. When the scans came back, I had no doubt she was the perfect fit for this shoot.

From Style Me Pretty: Mark my words, a wedding day designed like this will stand the test of time. A neutral palette, lush garden blooms, plus a table rich with layered textures equals a celebration that translates no matter the trends. Thanks to the lovelies of White Events, Vasia Photography and the entire vendor crew for helping us ring in springtime in the prettiest way.

My advice to couples getting married is to bring in their essence into their celebration and not to get caught up with a specific theme or colour palette. Do what feels true to you and have fun experimenting with colours and textures!

Thank you to all the amazing vendors who came together for this shoot and to the SMP team for featuring our work!
